Post Gen-2 glx lpg
Hi, just posting so I can access premier section.

2009 met blue gen2 glx on lpg. One previous lady owner with fpsh

Good points, cheap, handling, looks, factory lpg, air-con.

Bad points, cheap :) - a few quality issues, lack of parts.

Ant.

I think it is an iafm. It failed the MOT last September and I haven't been able to find the parts to fix it :/ Shock and caliper.
I joined the premier section but haven't found much in the way of useful info re parts numbers (yet)

As a premier member there is one member on here slushmatic who has a full proton dealers workshop manual and on request will scan in any relevant pages you require.
Additionally there are a couple of members who are also authorised traders on here who can help with part numbers and parts
Satria Neo Sport 1.6
FIAT Punto 2012
Next either Satria Neo Sport or a MINI cooper S

Hi Antpro.
Which caliper and shocker do you need? There are plenty of scrappers here so I am sure I can get the parts for you.

Post Re: Gen-2 glx lpg
I searched the kyb site & found the parts number for proton http://www.kyb.com.my/products/application-chart/

I searched an online parts supplier (shop) and the part number retuned a similar part. I thought this sort of information would be listed on part of the site. I did check but couldn't find a place where parts numbers / suppliers are listed.

Is there a part of the forum where part suppliers / part numbers can be listed for others to find?

Hope you got sorted, I hav'nt had the time to visit here or look after my Persona very well recently.

The workshop manuals I have are for the earliest 'Step 3' GEN-2 hatchbacks only, (2004-2006 or so)
but can be useful for later cars and to a lesser extent the Persona saloons like mine.

As to the parts you needed, the dampers are probably different on your 2009 car, (they made the later hatches firmer-riding) and the brakes are almost certainly the later Bosch type, (266mm diameter front vented disks, 280mm solid rears)
2009 Proton Persona 16V IAFM saloon Automatic Ecologic, (Mica Black - my does-everything chief wheels)
2017 Citroen C3 1.2 PureTech 82 'Feel' hatch, (Ruby Red/Black roof - Wife's new offbeat 12V trolley)
1993 Porsche 968 16V Tiptronic Coupe, (Black, been 'sold' twice now, but no-one actually pays...)
