Post Looking to lower my wira
Hi all,Recently acquired a proton wira 1.3, looking to lower it on coilovers but they seem to be mega expensive! Am I right in thinking you can buy volvo s40 coilovers that will fit? Is it just a case of using the original proton top mounts?

The Volvo S40 ones I believe are larger diameter like the Wira 1.6 and 1.8. The 1.3 and 1.5 wira used smaller diameter springs and therefore the spring seats on the struts are smaller accordingly. If you swapped the entire strut over with spring from a s40 you should be OK, but you would have to use the proton top mount as you say. I have no idea what that would do to the ride quality though.
